Agriturismo Verdita is an organic lavender farm on the border of Piedmont and Liguria that offers self-catering apartments. Run by Natascha, who describes herself as “an Italo-Belgian psychologist with even a little bit of Dutch blood”, Nicolas, a lawyer in his former life, and Indy, a dalmation dog who also acts as the PR manager. Natascha’s blog provides information on the surrounding area, all beautifully illustrated with photos, as well as on Piedmont in general.
Agrituismo Verdita only opened this year after extentive renovations, and the apartments look beautiful. So if you are planning to explore the area between Langhe and Monferrato and looking for somewhere special to stay, this could just be the place for you.

Lavender fields are beautiful and smell so amazing I could lay in one all day! You can also grab a handful of the stuff for free while your there.
