Dan Woodford, an Englishman and food lover living in Florence, is the author of Babbo Inglese. Originally in the software industry, Dan exchanged corporate life some years back to become a fish smoker at River Farm Smokery in the UK. He is currently a stay-at-home dad, and continues to pursue the highest-quality ingredients and food.
Dan’s blog is, of course, all about food. There is an excellent post on Divina Cucina’s Florence market tour, which is required reading if you’re looking for something different to do in Florence. There is also a very balanced account of lunch at Dario’s, Italy’s most famous butcher. Dan does like his tripe, so be prepared for some interesting reviews, although you can’t help but be drawn in by his enthusiasm. In fact, you may just find yourself using his tripe location map in Florence to find yourself a snack next time you’re there.
