new blogs on life in italy

Below are a number of new blogs that I’ve stumbled on recently and included in my list of blogs for lovers of Italy:

  • At Home in Tuscany is the blog of an Italian and Canadian couple.  Gloria is a “born and bred Tuscan” and generously shares her knowledge about the region
  • A Welshie in Italy is about Nerys, who originally hails from Wales but is now living in Milan.  Her observations on life in Italy often raise a smile – particularly if you are British
  • Fuori Borgo is a blog about family life at the edge of an ancient rural community near the Mediterranean
  • La Bella Città is about the observations of an American on the beautiful, the funny, and all aspects of Milan.  It aims to uncover what the city has to offer and highlights local finds, great gifts and local restaurants
  • nyc/caribbean ragazza is about the life of an ex-Hollywood film exec turned broke writer living in Rome
  • Ritratti Italiana is a storybook site, full of tales of Italy, written in both English and Italian.  This blog is a delight to read both for the pleasure of the storytelling and for improving one’s Italian
  • Romancing Italy is written by Bev, who moved from Trinidad to California to Italy.  She now lives in a small village in Northern Italy
  • Stresa Sights is about the city of Stresa on Lake Maggiore.  Dana, a freelance writer, has reviews, advice and all the informtion you need for a visit to this gorgeous lakeside location
  • Valle Nuova is the blog of Locanda Della Valle Nuova, a country inn on a working organic farm near Urbino in Le Marche.  Villa Nuova defines Italian eco agritourism – the owners’ motto is that “one should tread lightly on this earth”.
