Rome the Second Time started out as a blog to accompany the travel guide of the same title. The blog has now evolved and covers everything from daily life to deeper pieces on art, culture, modern architecture, Fascist imperialism, the occupied Rome of World War II, and much more. Like the book , the blog is about the places in Rome that you won’t normally find in a travel guide. Even if you are not planning your next visit, Rome the Second Time (the blog) makes really interesting and entertaining reading. An insider’s view not to be missed if you are at all interested in the Eternal City. I particularly love the extensive use of old and new photography.
Rome the Second Time is written by Dianne Bennett, an attorney, and William Graebner, an author of books on American history. When not navigating Rome on their Malaguti scooter, they live in Buffalo, New York.
